We provide agronomy and arboriculture services to nurseries and urban settings throughout Western Canada.
Our services include:
- Diagnostic of plant problems;
- Development of Integrated Pest Management programs;
- Basic testing of soil fertility, interpretation of
laboratory results and development of fertilization programs for optimum
plant growth;
- Initiating and maintaining field trials for
fertilizers, pest management procedures, and new pesticides, following GLP procedures
(Good Laboratory Practices);
- Advice on important Plant Health Care practices,
such as pruning, irrigation, composting, and use of predator insects.
We service nurseries,
municipalities, school districts, landscape companies, golf courses, greenhouses and
organic growers:
- Based on regular on-site
monitoring, we evaluate pest problems such as insects, diseases and weeds,
and their potential damage to plants.
- The site-visit is followed by recommendations to minimize
pest damage and encourage plant health.
- Services can include the development of on-site research projects, in agreement
with the site manager, to find the best answers for your specific
problems.
We offer training services
for certificates and specific topics:
- Classes are offered at various college and university campuses for the
"Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Applicator
Certificate", issued through the B.C. Ministry of Environment.
- Topic-specific workshops for company employees can be
organized upon request.
