Applicators Kelowna Dispensers Kelowna    

Courses for the "Integrated Pest Management Certificate" and the "Pesticide Applicator Certificate" are offered regularly at colleges in the B.C. Interior.

Note there is no more class for 2008.

The following centers offer classes on a regular basis:

- Kamloops

- Vernon

- Kelowna

- Oliver

- Penticton

- For golf courses

- Dispensers (persons selling pesticides)

General information

The public classes are usually 3 days long and do not include the written examination.  The process to apply for an examination is discussed during the first day in class.

All courses posted on this page are open to the public and, except where specified, will cover all types of certificates (agriculture, landscape, forestry, dispensers, industrial weed management, etc.).

To register for a class, please contact the appropriate college campus.

Participants must obtain the appropriate study materials prior to the start of the course.  These materials must be purchased directly from the Provincial Office Products Centre at 1-800-282-7955.

Kamloops

Note an optional examination will be arranged for the Friday afternoon.
Cost is $90 per examination (payable to Minister of Finance).


Vernon

For golf courses

This class is organized through the Western Canada Turfgrass Association.  The next class will be held immediately before the annual conference,
in February 2009 in Victoria.

Class is held Friday to Sunday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Examination on Sunday afternoon, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Dispenser (persons selling pesticides)


This 2-day course will be of particular interest to persons selling pesticides, or seeking employment in retail or wholesale stores handling pesticides.
